The exam was not only a test of knowledge, but also confirmation of their readiness to continue working with patients and solving complex problems in the field of neuroendocrinology.

Yesterday, a 36-hour educational cycle dedicated to type 2 diabetes mellitus began at the Training Center at the RSNPMC E. Endocrinologists from the Tashkent region are participating in the cycle. The program aims to deepen theoretical knowledge and improve practical skills in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of type 2 diabetes, taking into account current clinical recommendations and relevant approaches to patient management. The educational cycle contributes to improving the professional competence of specialists and the quality of endocrinological care. We wish the participants productive training and successful application of the knowledge gained in clinical practice.

November 14 — World Diabetes Day

In collaboration with the RSNMCE named after Academician Y.H. Turakulov, the CPKMP Department of Pediatric Endocrinology at Tashkent State Technical University, the Department of Endocrinology of Tashkent State Medical University, as well as the Tashkent city and regional branches of the RSNMCE, a campaign was held at the branches of the Korzinka shopping complex to identify diabetes mellitus and carbohydrate metabolism disorders.

During the campaign, citizens had their blood sugar levels measured, filled out health questionnaires, and all participants were given treatment recommendations.

Citizens with elevated blood sugar levels were recommended to consult an endocrinologist.

For human dignity!  In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 102 dated January 26, 2022, "On measures to improve and expand the scale of the endocrinology service," tasks have been set for the RSSPMCE named after Academician E.Kh. Turakulov, which are being carried out step by step. One of these tasks is the training of highly qualified personnel and the replenishment of the shortage of endocrinologists in the field. In this regard, as of July 5, 2024, 504-hour specialization courses in endocrinology have been opened at the Training Center of the RSSPMCE. 17 doctors from various regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan successfully completed their training at the RSSPMCE and received diplomas in endocrinology upon graduation.

In order to promote the comprehensive development and support the interest of youth in science, a competition among clinical residents was organized at the RSSPMCE named after Academician E.Kh. Turakulov Training Center on April 16, 2024, with the sponsorship support of Getz Pharma. As a result, the first-place winner, clinical resident Nasimov Khusan from the RSSPMCE named after Academician E.Turakulov, was awarded a trip to Tbilisi, Georgia, for a scientific seminar from September 15-18, 2024. The seminar was full of impressions and wonderful discussions with interesting people, city tours, and lectures. On the second day of the seminar, competitions among endocrinologists were organized, where the team from Uzbekistan took 1st place and was awarded commemorative prizes.

On July 24, 2024, a scientific seminar titled "Advanced Technologies - Innovative and Progressive Methods for Combating Diabetes and Related Diseases" was held at the RSSPMCE named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov. Leading specialists from Accord Superspeciality Hospital in the fields of bariatric surgery, nephrology, cardiology, and orthopedics provided up-to-date information on the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and related diseases. The specialists from India also got acquainted with the capabilities and specialists of RSSPMCE. As part of the seminar, a memorandum of cooperation was signed.

On July 23, an international conference dedicated to issues of endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, and orthopedics is taking place in Tashkent at the Y.Kh. Turakulov Republican Scientific Center for Preventive Medicine and Endocrinology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 174 "On Additional Measures to Improve the System of Professional Development and Retraining of Medical Workers" dated April 4, 2017, this forum is implementing the expansion of international cooperation between institutions in the system of retraining and professional development of medical workers with leading foreign clinics and higher medical educational institutions.

The aim of this conference is to integrate modern diagnostic and treatment methods into everyday medical practice, as well as to exchange experiences and knowledge among endocrinologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, and orthopedists.

The conference program included discussions on a wide range of theoretical and practical issues in modern endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, and orthopedics, as well as other disciplines related to endocrinology. Significant attention was given to clinical case studies and issues of social medicine (quality of life for patients, pharmacoeconomics, organization of endocrine-cardiological care). Conference attendees had a unique opportunity to hear the opinions of recognized leading specialists from Uzbekistan and neighboring countries.

At the ongoing scientific conference, the standards and procedures for providing specialized medical care, as well as clinical guidelines in endocrinology and cardiology, are being discussed.
The final part of the conference consists of master classes and clinical satellites, where forum participants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest achievements in global medicine in the field of disease diagnosis and treatment, get acquainted with the latest scientific developments, and learn about the prospects for the development of all areas related to endocrine, cardiological, nephrological, and orthopedic problems.

Ubbiev, screening activities for the early detection of endocrine diseases were conducted among the residents of family clinics No. 6 and No. 8 in the city of Nukus at the State Pedagogical Institute. During the screening studies, diabetes, prediabetes, overweight, and obesity were identified. They were given the necessary recommendations and referred for laboratory tests to establish an accurate diagnosis.






For human dignity!  On June 6, 2024, endocrinologists from the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology, Askarov U. and Makhmonova S.U., called patients with "Shereshevsky-Turner syndrome," "adrenal diseases," and "primary insufficiency syndrome" from the city of Nukus and the Nukus district of Beruniy, Amudarya, Khojaly, and Takhiyatash districts to the department, took blood samples for analysis, sent them to the laboratory of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Endocrinology Center in Tashkent for genetic analysis, and provided the necessary recommendations.





For human dignity! Under the initiative of endocrinologists from the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology, Yusupov A.V., S.Mehmonov, U.Asqarov, Yu.Khayitov, U.Imomberdieva, and Zh.Ubbiev, screening activities were conducted among the population of the Amudarya District of the Republic of Karakalpakstan at the No. 6 SP and MCP to early detect endocrine diseases. Seminars on the topic "Methods of examining the population aged 40 and older" were held for family doctors and patronage nurses of the SP and SPP. During the screening studies, diabetes, prediabetes, overweight, and obesity were identified. They were given the necessary recommendations and referred for laboratory tests to establish an accurate diagnosis.



For human dignity!  The Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 26, 2022, "On Measures to Improve and Expand the Endocrinology Service" aims to ensure the implementation of the tasks specified in Resolution No. PP-102 dated January 26, 2022. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the city of Termez, together with the staff and clinical coordinators of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology, and the employees of the branches, aims to ensure the implementation of the tasks specified in Resolution No. PP-102. In Termez, screening activities were conducted in SP No. 3 to identify the disease "Diabetes Mellitus" among the population over 40 years old. In SP No. 3 of the city of Termez, 102 citizens underwent examination. As a result of the screening, diabetes was identified for the first time in 4 cases, obesity in 22 cases, and thyroid diseases in 6 cases.

For human dignity! On April 25-26, 2024, a scientific-practical conference for endocrinologists and podologists was held at the RSSPMCE named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov. During the conference, leading specialists from Uzbekistan and Russia in the fields of dermatology, endocrinology, traumatology, and orthopedics presented reports on the first day. The second day was dedicated to practical sessions. All participants received certificates. The conference was held in a hybrid format.

For human dignity!  On the occasion of November 14, World Diabetes Day, the RSNPMCE named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov, the Endocrinology and Diabetes Association of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent City Administration, the Shaykhantakhur District Administration, and the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Adolat" conducted a screening for the early detection of diabetes and prediabetes among the population over 40 years old in the Charkhnovz and Shodlik MFUs on 13.11.2023. A total of 110 people over 40 years old were examined. All residents who underwent the examination were given necessary recommendations for a healthy lifestyle. A sincere conversation was held about the importance of a healthy lifestyle for parents and mothers for the healthy and mature development of the younger generation. Additionally, 25 patients with diabetes and endocrine diseases were examined and given necessary recommendations.

Since May 22, 2023, the Training Center of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology named after Acad. E.H. Turakulov has opened 504-hour specialization courses in endocrinology for family doctors. 21 family doctors from the regions of Uzbekistan underwent training on a pro bono basis with the support of the company "Novugen." Upon completion of the training, after passing qualifying tests and oral examinations, the participants received a diploma in endocrinology for the primary healthcare level in Uzbekistan. Of these, 11 pediatricians underwent training in pediatric endocrinology. This initiative will continue in the future.





At the educational center of the RSSPMCE named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov, an exam was held today for second-year clinical residents on their summer internship. As part of the educational process, clinical residents actively participated in screenings, conducted seminars on topics such as iodine deficiency, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and informed the public about the principles of proper nutrition. Under the supervision of the Deputy Director for Science, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Z.Yu. Khalimova, and the curators of the clinical residents, their knowledge and practical skills acquired during the first year of study were assessed.

For human dignity!  In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 102 dated January 26, 2022, "On measures to improve and expand the scale of the endocrinology service," as well as the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 197 dated June 20, 2023, "On measures for the effective organization of state management in the healthcare sector within the framework of administrative reforms," the tasks assigned to the RSSPMCE named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov are being carried out step by step. One of these tasks is the training of highly qualified personnel. In this regard, starting from May 22, 2023, a 504-hour specialization course in endocrinology for family doctors has been opened at the training center of the RSSPMCE named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov. Upon completion of their studies, 21 family doctors from various regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan will become certified primary care endocrinologists in the healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.



For human dignity!  On the eve of World Thyroid Day, employees of the Educational Center at the RSSPMCE named after Academician Y.Kh. Turakulov, in collaboration with clinical residents, conducted educational lectures and seminars on the topic "Iodine Deficiency Diseases" to raise public awareness about thyroid diseases. These events were held for students and faculty of the Tashkent State Dental Institute, the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan, as well as for the residents of the "Katta Yalongoch Ota" neighborhood in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district.

For human dignity!  In accordance with the Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 102 dated January 26, 2022, "On measures to improve and enhance the endocrinology service," on March 31, 2023, employee of the training center at RSSPMCE I.Kh.Inoyatkhojaeva and first-year clinical residents M.Sattorova, M.Khujaeva, and S.Aliyeva visited the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design and conducted a training program for university students and faculty on the topic "Diabetes and iodine deficiency diseases."

The main goal of this event is to inform young people about the causes of the most common endocrine diseases, to foster positive lifestyle changes by providing reliable medical and hygienic knowledge, creating appropriate motivation, and promoting a careful attitude towards health. One of the most important methods of strengthening health is educating the population about a healthy lifestyle, promoting healthy habits and skills, and informing them about the important role of individuals in maintaining their own health and the well-being of society. The team from the RSNP-MC Educational Center also plans to visit other higher educational institutions in Tashkent in the near future.

For human dignity!  In connection with and in execution of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 102 dated January 26, 2022, "On measures to improve and enhance the endocrinology service," on March 29, 2023, employee of the training center at RSSPMCE I.Kh. Inoyatkhodjaeva, together with first-year clinical residents M. Sattorova and S. Aliyeva, visited the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami and conducted a training program for students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages on the topic "Diabetes and iodine deficiency diseases.
" The purpose of this event is to enlighten the young minds of Uzbekistan's youth with quality knowledge about the basics of endocrine diseases and their prevention measures, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle among children and adolescents. We express our gratitude to the administration of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami for their assistance in conducting this event and for their warm reception.
At the end of the seminar, students received answers to their questions of interest. In the near future, the team from the training center at RSSPMCE also plans to visit other higher educational institutions in Tashkent, where students will be able to familiarize themselves with the basic concepts and prevention measures of endocrine diseases and take a step towards a healthy lifestyle.
