The Diabetology Department has 23 beds, the department was organized on March 1, 2018.
In the conditions of the department, specialized highly qualified inpatient medical care is provided to patients according to international EASD / ADA and national standards for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus:

  • Personalized approach to patient management based on data from major international studies, as well as the results of consultations of staff and scientific personnel of the center;

  • Early diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and other types of carbohydrate metabolism disorders is carried out;

  • A comprehensive examination is being carried out to assess the compensation of diabetes and the severity of its complications;

  • Practical recommendations are given on the choice of optimal treatment methods at the onset of the disease in order to preserve the intrinsic insulin-secreting capacity of the pancreas. Timely started adequate treatment helps prevent the development of chronic complications of diabetes;

  • Recommendations are given on the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus and its complications;

  • Recommendations are given on adapting the treatment to specific living conditions, prevention of acute and chronic complications of the disease;

Patient categories:

  • Newly diagnosed diabetes mellitus (DM);

  • Diagnostic unclear, difficult to classify variants of diabetes mellitus;

  • With multiple complications of diabetes and concomitant diseases;

  • Gestational diabetes;

  • Diabetes and pregnancy;

Conditions have been created for a comfortable stay of patients in the hospital In the center for early diagnosis of complications and assessment of compensation of diabetes mellitus are carried out:

  • General clinical and biochemical blood tests (all necessary spectrum);

  • Glycosylated hemoglobin - evaluation of diabetes compensation;

  • IRI (insulin), C - peptide - these studies allow us to evaluate the secretion of insulin by B-cells of the human pancreas, which allows us to make a decision on the correct treatment and timely transfer of a patient with diabetes mellitus to insulin therapy;
