The histological laboratory was established at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center in 1971 and was part of the central laboratory. In 2017, the laboratory was renamed into the Pathology Office.

The pathological office includes a cytology laboratory and a histology laboratory.

The department conducts the following research:

1. Cytological examination of thyroid punctate (obtained by fine-needle puncture biopsy of the thyroid gland);


2. Cytological examination of testicular punctate;


3. Intraoperative express diagnostics of surgical material;


4. Histological examination of surgical material (thyroid gland, pituitary gland, adrenal glands, mammary glands, etc.);

All modern methods of morphological research are used in the department. The pathology office has modern equipment.
