The RIA laboratory has been operating at the Center of Endocrinology since 1990. From the very beginning, the laboratory has been focused on working with sets labeled with the radioisotope J ¹²⁵ The kits are used under the current contracts with the manufacturer “Beckman Coulter” Czech Republic. Radioimmune kits are registered for use on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan (more than 10 registration certificates have been received).

The laboratory has more than 150 m ² useful area (centrifugal, washing, cryogenic, counting room) equipped with the most modern equipment - radioimmune counters “Gamma12” 2 units and fully automated radioimmunoassay system "STRATEG 300" with modern computers, refrigerators, freezers for storing reagents and primary material.

The laboratory has the status of the base one, according to the UNDP IAEA technical assistance project, assigned the identification number 2049, and is also a training center of the Tashkent Medical Academy. On the basis of the laboratory, international training courses on radioimmunoassay have been held several times.

In addition to the main base, the laboratory has a number of blood sampling points at the city Endocrinological Dispensary and a point at the RSNPMC Oncology MH RUz

The laboratory has developed a technique for diagnosing more than 43 types of hormones, such as

• hormones of the reproductive system


• thyroid hormones


• pituitary hormones


• adrenal hormones


• oncological markers


• cardiac group markers


• markers of calcium - phosphorus metabolism

At present, the laboratory carries out more than 75,000 tests per year.
Laboratory staff are highly qualified specialists who have passed international specialization confirmed by certificates, are permanent participants in the forums of radiologists of the CIS countries.
