The Department of Endocrine Surgery is one of the oldest departments in the center. It developed on the basis of one of eight laboratories created in the Center for Regional Medicine, founded in 1957.

Today the department performs a wide range of tasks. These are operations on the thyroid gland of any size up to giant forms (Struma Magna), operations on the parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, and genitals. Surgical interventions are performed using modern minimally invasive technologies. A comprehensive approach is applied to each patient, from performing a puncture biopsy under ultrasound guidance at the diagnostic stage to postoperative rehabilitation.

Unique clinical experience accumulated over the years, equipment with the latest medical technology contributes to safe and comfortable treatment. All specialists of the department, including middle and junior medical personnel, constantly improve their practical and theoretical skills, undergoing regular professional improvement. The Department of Surgery provides surgical treatment for all types of goiter. All types of operations on the parathyroid glands and adrenal glands are performed. Modern high-tech, minimally invasive techniques are used. You will be assisted in treatment by the following specialists: surgeons, thyroidologists, anesthesiologist, histologist, rehabilitologist. For each patient, a cytological pathomorphological examination is performed before, during and after surgery, which makes it possible to increase the accuracy of diagnosis and detection of cancer of the thyroid and parathyroid glands and eliminates the risk of reoperation. Given the high qualifications and experience of the staff, technical capabilities, such operations are performed much faster and less traumatic than in most clinics of a similar profile.
