Endocrinologist Kobilov, Surkhandarya Regional Endocrinologic Dispensary. Endocrinological studies were conducted at the dispensary organized by SP 34 of Kumkurgan district.
The endocrinologist of the dispensary examined 80 residents, among whom 6 people with type 2 diabetes, 8 with obesity and 2 with diffuse obesity were identified for the first time and referred to the district endocrinologist for “D” control.
Six identified diabetic patients were prescribed blood sugar lowering medications and given nutritional advice according to a 9-table diet.
Eight obese patients were counseled and advised to walk 5,000 to 10,000 steps a day, lose weight, follow a healthy diet, continuously monitor blood sugar levels and have a medical check-up every 6 months.
