On February 6, 2025, the population of “red” and “yellow” categories living in border and remote areas of Jizzak oblast, as well as those living in Gallakon governorate of Bakhmal district, which has a relatively high level of poverty, was conducted an in-depth medical examination by endocrinologist B.S. Umarkulov of RSNPMCEDF, as well as screening of the population over 40 years old. The examination revealed 1 case of obesity of the 2nd degree, 4 cases of obesity of the 1st degree, 1 case of obesity of the 3rd degree and 6 cases of diffuse goiter of the 2nd degree. The specialist identified and recommended necessary recommendations and examinations. Medical staff, visitors and practicing physicians were also provided with theoretical and practical skills on the correct use of screening questionnaires and anthropometric indicators, glucometers, as well as on the correct assessment of glycemia results.
