Endocrinologist of Surkhandarya Regional Endocrinological Dispensary Kurbonov M. conducted endocrinological examination of the population during the medical examination organized on 07.02.2025 in Lupan microdistrict of Denov district under the program “Screening of diabetes mellitus among the population over 40 years old in remote areas of Denov district”.
Endocrinologist of the dispensary examined 76 people, 5 of them were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus,
Obesity and 4 cases of diffuse goiter were detected for the first time in 9 patients and they were referred to the district endocrinologist for “D” group follow-up.
Five identified diabetic patients were prescribed blood sugar lowering medication and given nutritional advice as per the 9 table diet.
Nine obese patients were counseled and given the necessary recommendations to walk 5000 to 10,000 steps per day, lose weight, follow a healthy diet, continuously monitor blood sugar levels and undergo medical check-ups every 6 months.
