A training seminar was held. Chief physician of RMO of Navbahor district, endocrinologists, all family physicians of MCH, SP, SD, head nurses, responsible patronage nurses and coordinator participated in the seminar. The workshop explained about the screening process of the population above 40 years of age for early detection of prediabetes and diabetes. The documents and reports required for screening, the procedure for screening, the work to be done in case of first time detection of diabetes and pre-diabetes were explained. 69 glucometers, 575 (#50) test strips and 342 (100) lancets were provided for screening. The intended use of centrally supplied glucometers and test strips and proper maintenance of usage reports were discussed separately. Family physician, patronage nurses The tasks of improving endocrinology service at the primary level were consistently explained.
