For human dignity! On February 11, 2025, a training seminar for family physicians and practical nurses on “Role of primary health care workers in screening and dispensary of endocrine diseases” was jointly organized by G.Sh.Negmatova, Director of RSNPMCESF, and T.I.Kholikova, Chief Physician of Jamboy District Hospital of Samarkand region.
The main objectives of the seminar are:
. Early detection of endocrine diseases of the primary system
- Correct drawing up of the plan of examination and treatment of patients (rational dispenserization)
- Recommendations on prevention of complications of diseases
- Raising public awareness of the need to maintain a healthy lifestyle
- Ensuring organic connection of primary health care with regional and republican endocrinological institutions by improving practical skills of determining blood sugar levels with a glucometer and filling out screening cards.
At the same time, instructions were given to eliminate shortcomings in the screening process in the activities of family physicians and nurses.
The workshop participants filled out the screening cards on their own, and health workers with a score above 9 points had their blood sugar levels measured. Screening, treatment and follow-up plans for workers with prediabetes and diabetes were developed and presented as a model to all family physicians and nurse practitioners.
