Routing in the Syrdarya Region
As part of the implementation of the Action Plan for the Development of the Endocrinology Service at the Y. Kh. Turakulov Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology, physicians from the Center's outpatient clinic traveled to all districts of the Syrdarya Region to conduct training sessions.
The purpose of the outreach activities was to improve the qualifications of general practitioners, practicing nurses, and visiting nurses in endocrinology and to implement a patient routing system for the most common endocrine diseases:
diabetes mellitus types 1 and 2,
obesity,
diffuse goiter,
diabetes insipidus,
diabetic ketoacidosis.
The training included:
practical exercises on patient routing;
lectures and demonstrations on the prevention and treatment of the most common endocrine diseases;
presentations of video materials and electronic documents aimed at improving routing and coordination of healthcare workers. The implementation of such mobile training programs ensures the timely detection of endocrine diseases, organizes proper patient routing, and improves the quality of endocrinological care in all districts of the region.
