Endocrinologists at the Tashkent Regional Endocrinology Dispensary, together with surgeons from district and city medical associations, perform surgical procedures on patients with diabetic foot complications. Yesterday, a patient with type 2 diabetes, diabetic ankle syndrome, neuroischemic form, type 2 diabetic angiopathy, and gangrene of the second, third, and fourth toes of his left foot, who was being treated in the surgical department of the Akkurgan District Medical Association, underwent a procedure called "Amputation of the left metatarsal bone (using the Chopar method)" after which the patient received postoperative instructions.
Other diabetic patients were also examined and consulted by the dispensary's endocrinologist.
