In accordance with Order No. 335 of the Minister of Health dated October 31, 2025, on holding the mass event "Health Marathon," the "Health Marathon" will be held in Andijan from February 2 to 28, 2026, with the aim of promoting medical prevention, early diagnosis of diseases, and healthy lifestyle promotion.
As part of this event, on February 17, at the MCP in the Kurgantepa District of Andijan Region, K.V. Komilionova, an employee of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology (RSSPMC), and Z.E. Khatamov, a branch specialist, conducted in-depth medical examinations and screenings of the population.
During the examinations, the health status of the population was assessed, early signs of various diseases were identified, and each citizen was given medical recommendations and individual advice on a healthy lifestyle. In addition, outreach activities were conducted for family physicians on the prevention, early diagnosis, and monitoring of endocrine diseases.
The "Health Marathon" is significant as a key initiative to improve public health awareness, foster responsibility for one's own health, and promote disease prevention. Three patients with diabetes, one obese patient, one patient with allergic rhinitis, 16 patients with type 2 diabetes, and one patient with type 1 diabetes were examined and provided with qualified medical consultations. One patient was referred to the district endocrinology department for inpatient treatment. Two nursing assistants, eight practicing nurses, and 10 nursing assistants were trained in the early diagnosis, treatment, and management of six types of endocrine diseases.
