HEALTH MARATHON!
In accordance with Order No. 335 of the Minister of Health dated October 31, 2025, on holding the mass event "Health Marathon," a "Health Marathon" will be held in the Andijan district from February 2 to 28, 2026, aimed at medical prevention, early diagnosis of diseases, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
As part of this event, K. V. Komilionova, an employee of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology (RSSPMCE), and M. M. Ganieva, a department specialist, conducted in-depth medical examinations and screenings of the population on February 20 at the Andijan District Medical and Practical Center and the Kuyganer Family Clinic.
Thirty patients were examined during the survey, of whom 14 (two newly diagnosed) had diabetes, two had prediabetes, one had obesity, and two had diffuse goiter. Patients with these conditions were given the necessary recommendations.
The surveys assessed the population's health, identified early signs of various diseases, and provided each citizen with medical consultations and personalized recommendations for a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, educational outreach was conducted for family physicians on the prevention, early diagnosis, and monitoring of endocrine diseases.
The "Health Marathon" is gaining significant significance as an important initiative that promotes public health awareness, responsibility for one's own health, and disease prevention.
Another training seminar was also held as part of the "Patient Pathway for Family Physicians and Medical Teams on the 6 Most Common Endocrine Diseases."
The seminar was attended by 12 family physicians, 36 community and outpatient nurses, and two endocrinologists from medical teams. They were trained in the six most common types of endocrine diseases worldwide: diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, diabetic ketoacidosis, diffuse euthyroidism, and obesity. They also learned about the algorithm for appropriate patient referrals, community care support and monitoring within medical teams, and collaboration between family physicians and specialized physicians.
Seminars on these six diseases continue in the city districts according to the established schedule!
