On April 7, in connection with World Health Day, specialists from the Tashkent Regional Endocrinology Dispensary, together with the Umid Charitable Foundation, organized a screening event for the early diagnosis of diabetes. The specialists examined 64 employees of the Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Seed Production, measuring their blood sugar levels, anthropometric parameters, body mass index, and thyroid function to detect diabetes and obesity.
As a result, four new cases of diabetes and five cases of obesity were identified.
Endocrinologists conducted lectures and discussions for the employees on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, physical activity, and medical examinations every six months, which are essential for the early diagnosis of diseases and longevity.
