The diabetes screening campaign continues in Yangiyul! Endocrinologists from the Tashkent Regional Endocrinology Dispensary are conducting screening at Family Health Centers № 1 and 2 in Yangiyul to early detect diabetes and obesity among healthy individuals over 40 years of age and provide practical assistance with screening in the primary healthcare system.
During the screening on April 8, 120 residents had their blood sugar levels, weight, height, waist circumference, and blood pressure measured.
Based on the examination results, six residents were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (blood sugar levels above 7.4-13.4 mmol/L), and 15 were diagnosed with clinical obesity.
Newly diagnosed patients were referred to an endocrinologist for further examination and treatment.
Brochures entitled "Healthy Lifestyle" were also distributed to the assembled residents.
