A scientific and practical seminar was held in Bukhara to mark International Day of the Midwife. Today, the regional endocrinology dispensary hosted a scientific and practical seminar for senior nurses from medical and preventive institutions, family clinics, and medical associations in Bukhara, as well as senior midwives from maternity hospitals and primary care midwives, to mark May 5, International Day of the Midwife.
The event was opened by Elyor Oltiyev, Head of the Bukhara Regional Health Department. In his speech, he outlined the work being carried out in the region to implement Presidential Resolution No. PP-402 of November 22, 2024, "On Measures to Improve the System for Monitoring Cancer Among Women."
Sh.M. Narziev, chief physician of the Bukhara Regional Endocrinology Dispensary, provided relevant instructions on the important tasks facing midwives, including the prevention of iodine deficiency in protecting the health of mothers and children, as well as the early diagnosis of gestational diabetes.
