For human dignity! On 19 September 2024, according to the National School of therapeutic training for patients with diabetes mellitus 2, a training seminar was held on 26 January 2022 by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan ‘In order to ensure the implementation of Decision PP-102 on measures to improve and expand the scope of endocrinological service’. M.A. Latipova and M. Shaagzamova, a doctor of the endocrinological dispensary of Tashkent region, held a training seminar in the Youth Centre of Nurabad city of Ohangaron district. This educational seminar was attended by 40 people: local activists, youth leaders, religious leaders. A training seminar was held on the topic ‘Primary prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus and iodine deficiency, increasing the culture of healthy lifestyle of the population, the importance of proper nutrition, foot care techniques in diabetes mellitus’. Screening examinations were conducted among the population participating in the training seminar: 10 of them were found to have prediabetes and 5 participants were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus.
